What a wonderful first week back we've had. Many thanks to all the Teddies who came to visit, they had a marvellous time with the children and on the whole were very well behaved. We had a busy week designing things for our teddies, writing about our teddies, fixing our teddies at the Teddy Hospital, making Tim-Tam Teddy cars, and of course topped it all off with a teddy bears picnic and games afternoon.
What a wonderful last day of term today! We were in awe of the many creative, colourful and edible hats that adorned our Kindy children. There will be lots of photos to come of the Easter Hat parade, but we wanted to share this video that was captured of KW today - featuring the Easter Bunny himself (AKA Gabriel). Please feel free to email through any great shots/videos you may have that would be suitable for sharing on the blog. Thank you all for a wonderful term! Team K. With Easter fast approaching, we have taken a look an Australian native animal, the bilby - a favourite at Easter time :) We read an online story about a bilby and did some AMAZING Aboriginal inspired dot art paintings of bilbies. We followed up by watching a short documentary on bilbies and reading Hunwick's Egg by Mem Fox. The children were engrossed with the documentary part of the video and we were amazed at how many bilby facts they could recall! Ask your child to share something they have learned about bilbies - and check out their wonderful designs on the classroom windows. You can watch the video here (it has a few seconds of Spanish at the beginning :O) |
